Death Warmed Up (1985)
How odd, how odd. A ten year old boy is hypnotized by a doctor to kill
his own parents. Now you might have known that under hypnosis you cannot
be made to do something you wouldn't normally. The simple reason for
this is that hypnosis is a 19th century sham (kin to mesmerism) and
like, let's be brutal, homeopathy more 19th century quackery. More
simply some people are suggestible and hypnosis in stage acts allows
people to mess about uninhibitedly similar to when they're drunk. So to
me (and I haven't seen the film) the film starts on a bad premise. Young
Michael is sent to a mental hospital (remember the other Michael from
Halloween?). The film's action is when he gets out bent on revenge.
