NOTES Dan Ackroyd plays a character who has committed some

kind of computer fraud and has been sent to Cicero County

Mental Correctional Institute.

When the resident psychiatrist is interviewing him and leaves

the room Ackroyd answers the phone. The call is from the

agent of a Beverly Hills doctor who a radio show. The doctor

has to go away and needs a replacement. One, he hopes, so

bad his audience will be glad on his return.

But Ackroyd accepts the job as though he were the

psychiatrist, escapes from the institute. Of course

impersonating the Cicero psychiatrist he is a huge success

on the radio show. This he achieves by speaking straight and

stating the obvious.

The film is one of many in which the 'insane' are more sane

than 'normal' people.

This isn't a remarkable film but then it is funny and the

performances from Ackroyd and Grodin are good.

If the film is 'worth' anything it is in satirising the pomposity

and emptiness of some psychiatrists.
