The film
taken from Herman Wouk's novel is about a neurotic |

captain who
takes charge of a mine sweeper. Bogart is Capt. Queeg who
becomes so obsessed with cleanliness and tidiness
aboard his ship that he loses control of his ship during an
exercise. The senior officer relinquishes him of his command in
the interests of the ship's safety. But back on shore he is
court-martialled. In the subsequent courtroom scene Capt.
Queeg under questioning cracks up. |
