NOTES B/W

One of the Boston Blackie series and you know how series

always turn in on themselves. The detective on a seaside

holiday steps not on a crab but a dead body. (Yes, I know all

bodies are dead). Another cul de sac these series disappear

down is keeping the murder in the family. Boston Blackie's

nephew has a nervous disorder after a car crash. His family

want him declared insane because he's due to inherit

$200,000. But when he finds there is no cure for his condition

he escapes from the asylum he's been put in and starts killing

people.

This film squarely belongs to another era. And the constant

attempts at humour by Blackie's assistant (called The Runt)

are just so crude as to be painful.
