The time is 1948 and a black soldier is sent out on patrol with

white soldiers. ( The U.S. Armed Forces weren't properly

integrated until 1952 though after 1945 there was mixing of

units.)

The soldier becomes paralyzed but walks again when he's

racially abused. This has to be seen to be believed. However

this film is apparently an interesting piece on racial

relationships in the army of the time.
