about some of the "Kids" that leave the Patch for awhile to
see what
Christmas is in the "real world". They encounter a girl who wears a brace on
one leg (never explained why) who lives in an orphanage
and fears no one
will ever adopt her because she is "different". |

Also, the meanies from
the Patch have followed the "Kids", and the "Kids" have
to escape them
