NOTES |
Set in a
small hamlet in Australia, 1915. The editor of the |

local paper
is disabled after serving at Gallipoli. For some |
|
reason his
limp causes problems at home and in the |
|
community.
He retreats to a nearby river where he meets a |
|
painter and
they form a relationship. But later he falls down |
|
an old mine
shaft which causes him to reflect and he returns |
|
