NOTES |
A man who
sells houses lives beyond his means, flirts, and |

One day he
gets drunk and smashes up a house resulting in |

50 hours
community service and a $2000 fine. |
|
His service
is as basketball coach to a group of people with |
|
learning
difficulties. On seeing them he walks out and gets a |
|
On his
return he gets into the spirit of things, the group take to |
|
him very
quickly and they begin to 'improve'. When his 50 |
|
hours is up
he volunteers. He has in fact lost his real estate |
|
A romance
blossoms with the recreational therapist and the |
|
group get to
a basketball final. Though they do lose everyone |
|
is happy at
having got so far. |
|
This isn't
as bad a film as it might sound despite the usual |
|
clichés.
Resulting mainly from the performance of John |
|
LaRoquette
and some attention to character. And there is a |
|
The group he
is coaching live in a home/hostel and they do |
|
operate as a
group discussing important matters. |
|
I don't know
if these are actors with real learning difficulties |
|
but that is
a possibility. |
