(you may remember him as Mozart) plays man |

learning difficulties who is looked after by his brother (a

doctor).
Except that Hulce works, as a garbage collector, and |
|
supports his
brother through medical school. |
|
This is a
film not so much about actions in the broad |
|
confrontational sense but attitudes. Such films can only |
|
succeed by
the quality of the acting and direction. This film is |
|
sentimental,
passionate, occasionally melodramatic and |
|
achieves a
depth of understanding in the lives of both Hulce |
|
and his
brother though you might feel the points it is making |
|
are pressed
in your face. Better to have tried even if not |
|
