NOTES |
At 11 years
old a girl is in a car crash which leaves her brain |

damaged. The
story picks up her life twenty years later. |

She is
married to a man with learning difficulties and has a |

'normal'
daughter. Her mother has never been able to accept |

the change
in her own daughter and has even come to believe that her
grand-daughter is actually her daughter. |

The way in
which the daughter and her husband are portrayed has been
criticised. |
