NOTES A rather odd film though it derives from an actual case.

A schoolteacher has had chronic pain and blackouts. In

hospital he is diagnosed as having a serious inflammation of

the arteries which could kill him in a very short time. He is

offered a treatment which might save him but it is in its

experimental stage. This involves taking cortisone tablets for

the rest of his life. He does recover but starts to take more of

the drugs than he should and the side effect creates violent

changes of mood that threaten to destroy his family life.
