When Jackson
who has been almost fatally stabbed in one |

school turns
up several months later in another school you'll |

initially
think he's got the answer to 'crowd trouble'. |

One problem
for us Brits with these "Blackboard Jungle" type |
|
films is
that the pupils look to be in their twenties. Are they |
|
eternally
held back for failing? Make them wear a uniform |
|
(Alicia
Silverstone is excepted). |
|
Jackson of
course doesn't have the answer he has 'the |
|
solution'.
Idealism has dipped below the horizon and Jackson |
|
begins
fighting back. This is "Death Wish" in a cloud of chalk |
|
It's my view
that the kind of people who would appreciate this |
|
film are the
very ones whose fingers are chopped off by |
|
Samuel 'lop'emoff'
Jackson. So it will likely backfire. |
