A teenage
boy returns to his father and grandparents after |

alcoholic mother. Dad is about to get re-married. |

All Daniel
cares about is getting on the school football team |

But soon
he's fed up with living with dad, his new wife and her |

Granma
(Reynolds) collapses with a mild stroke caused by |
|
diabetes.
She's told she has only 5% use of her kidneys left |
|
But the
dialysis doesn't do the job and she needs a kidney |
|
transplant.
Daniel who is very close to his gran wants to |
|
donate one
of his kidneys though this means he'll never be |
|
able to play
football again. When dad hears of this he wants |
|
to donate a
kidney but the new wife is against this partly |
|
because he
can't afford to take a month off work. Gran is also |
|
against
Daniel's offer even after a match is confirmed |
|
The
transplant goes ahead. Gran is O.K. and Daniel gets a |
|
full
scholarship to Florida State University. |
|
Not such a
bad film. It tackles the issues involved and it is a |
|
