Before he
emigrated to America Lang made this epic film of |

Prince
Siegfried's quest for the hand of Kriemhild. Like any |
|
quest
adventure Siegfried must go through a series of testing |
|
rituals. One
of these is to get the treasure of the dwarf king of |
|
The
composer, Wagner, also based his opera on the same |
|
stories from
German mythology. The best known is the 13th |
|
Century epic
poem Nibelungenlied. |
