an excuse to
introduce a range of offbeat characters with |
|
John Hurt
repeating his Quentin Crisp impersonation. A |
|
wonder they
didn't him have do 'The Elephant Man'. A good |
|
cast wasted
on a pretentious film. You might just enjoy it for |
|
its many
good points if you can swallow the sermonising. |

Keanu
Reeves' character has asthma for which he uses an |
|
inhaler and
is given injections. |
