NOTES |
A varied
group of 7 people is lured to an island expecting |
|
some kind of
reward. The are greeted by the island's owner, |
|
Mr. Osiris.
He explains that they will get their reward only by |
|
participating in a game. Fail at the game and they will die.
|
|
The reason
for the game is that each of them in the past has |
|
crossed
paths with Osiris and this is his revenge. The goal of |
|
the game is
to reach a boat at the other end of the island |
|
before his
hunters catch and kill them. |
|
As they flee
they encounter various tableaux which depict the |
|
'sin'
committed by each of them. At this point despite their |
|
fleeing for
their lives the targeted individual recounts his/her |
|
story. At
the end of which the hunters arrive and everyone |
|
runs away
except the story teller who is killed. |
|
Forget the
presence of Jenny Seagrove and Roddy McDowall this film is
absolutely dreadful. |
|
Mr. Osiris
it turns out is tragically disfigured. |
