Another variation on Jekyll and Hyde now seen from his

housemaid's viewpoint. Intelligent, faithful to the spirit of

horror genre without going over the top in the make-up

dept....... Mary Reilly, the maid, played by Julia Roberts is

scarred. Not an easy film to stay interested in. Roberts'

character is unsympathetic. The director's intentions are

good but the film develops so slowly.
