DISABILITY |
Disfigurement Facial |
DIRECTOR |
Jean-Paul
Rappeneau

NOTES |
Depardieu's
performance as Cyrano is unlikely to be |
surpassed,
he is one of the finest speakers of French, verse |
or prose,
and ranks with Laurence Olivier as an actor. |
The 17th
Century play by Edmund Rostand has well stood the |
test of
time, the production is superb, and a great supporting |
It is
Depardieu's acting which makes one aware of his |
disfigurement not the size of his nose (which is small |
compared
with some adaptations). |
