NOTES |
When an art
historian goes to a house to buy a famous |

painting he
is told it has been destroyed. But he is told the |
|
history of
the painting. During Venezula's war of liberation at |
|
the end of
the 19th Century an Indian soldier stole the painting. |
|
But it
brings him only bad luck. At first it seems quite the opposite
because when gambling he wins a girl who is deaf and speaking
impaired and she brings with her a charm. With this charm
he wins every game though each win puts him more and
more in the hands of the Devil. His only release is to sell the
charm (and the girl?). |
