L'Aventure sauvage 2. The Mad Trapper |
NOTES |
In the
Canadian outback of the 1890s potential wives are up |
for auction.
Reed is a trapper who's missed the auction but |
gets a woman
with a speaking impairment for a thousand |
dollars (she
is not deaf). And they go off into the wilderness. |
Reed bullies
and blusters in his usual manner and kills every |
animal in
sight while Tushingham as the wife remains docile. |
He calls her
"rabbit". But after a number of adventures for him |
and some
soul searching for her the relationship softens. |
She has won
independence and confidence. |
