NOTES |
A man who
wants to be a composer takes a job as a music |
|
teacher
thinking it will be temporary. But over 30 years he is |
|
devoted to
his teaching work yet still ambitious to compose. |
|
Unfortunately his son is deaf and won't be able to hear his
|
|
'Opus'. The
problem with this film is that the deafness of the |
|
son is not
much more than an 'idea'. The son is seen too little |
|
and is
merely a counter point to the teacher's ambition. |
|
Despite this
and the sentimentality of the final act there much |
|
Anthony
Natale, playing the son is a |
