Harry
(Harrelson) comes out of prison after 2 years. He was |
|
wrongly
accused but he's a natural thief. When Rhea (Shue) |
|
leaves her
handbag in the telephone kiosk he steals it. But it |
|
turns out he
was being set-up. She offers him a job or |
|
exposure.
Rhea wants him to pretend to kidnap her step |
|
daughter.
Though he tapes their discussions nothing comes |
|
Rhea's
husband is very rich but won't give either daughter or |
|
wife much
money so the kidnap plot is get money out of him. |
|
He is dying
from lung cancer and uses an oxygen machine so |
|
presumably
they could just wait. However this is the |
|
director's
stab at film noir and the plot thickens. |
