NOTES |
A young
research scientist has developed a drug which purports to be a quick
cure for cancer. A young woman with an inoperable tumour of the
spine comes to him and asks for the treatment to be tried on her. He
refuses because has not been through all the necessary trials. But
he's young and good looking and she's young and good looking and he
gives in. However he does make her sign a form of consent. He
injects the drug, she reacts badly and he rushes her to hospital
where he leaves her. The laboratory where he works discovers what he
has done, he is shut out of the lab, the woman dies and the death is
covered up. The film has become a convoluted thriller.
Later he gets a phone call from a clinic Switzerland which appears
to be from the woman he treated. Rushing there he discovers that the
clinic's record shows she died five years ago. About this point I
became confused but since this is a rather dull thriller I wasn't
too bothered. |
