A forty plus
philosophy teacher has just left his wife and becomes obsessed with a
teenager. He fancies his chances probably because a man even older
than himself has died while making love with her. She accedes to him
but later he becomes jealous when he realises she is seeing a man
closer to her own age and his life is turned into torment. Good
performances but the eroticism perhaps over-rides the thoughtful
element.
The girl's father has throat cancer and cannot speak. He is having
radiotherapy but his condition is terminal.
