Murphy plays
a hustler who accidentally becomes a |

congressman
and takes backhanders at every turn just like |
|
some of his
fellow congressmen. But one of his constituents |
|
has a young
girl with a brain tumour/cancer 'caused' by |
|
power lines.
And of course the Power company has a |
|
powerful and
generous lobby. |
|
It's left to
Murphy to reform himself and congress. |
|
As a Murphy
vehicle it's better than some of his past efforts |
|
like Harlem
Nights. The young girl with the 'bald' head is just |
|
cuteness
personified. And one wonders at film makers using |
|
such cause
and effect when the relationship, if any, between |
|
power lines
and cancer is still unproved. |
