NOTES |
We are
introduced to a world in which dead pets are cloned in shopping mall
stores and people are cloned a little less publicly and wholly
illegally. Schwarzenegger's character is cloned by mistake and gets
mixed up with corporate corruption. This is essentially a thriller
and very well done with fast action and also some intriguing scenes
like where Schwarzenegger watches his clone playing happy families
with his wife.
The head scientist of the corporation doing the illegal cloning has
a wife who is dying of cancer and he is tempted to clone her (or, I
got confused here, she has already died and been cloned). But the
film isn't interested in following this line of application. The
corporation is too busy cloning its 'shock troops' every time they
are killed, which is often. |
