NOTES Blindness used as plot device.

An officer from a family with a military tradition decides to

resign just before his regiment goes to the 1989 Sudan

campaign. Three fellow officers give him a white feather, and

his girlfriend dumps him. Improbably we might think he goes

to Sudan and disguises himself as a native. There after his

regiment is defeated he rescues the officers who gave him

the white feathers. In the wallet of one who has gone blind in

the heat he places a white feather. This of course later

reveals him to have been the rescuer.

Four Feathers, The

I just want to let you know that under the Minor listings for Blind the film 'four feathers, the (1939)' is not the only one. There are 3 versions of the same film available. 1939 is one of them the other 2 are: a version that came out in 2002 from director Shekhar Kapur and a version that I belive came out in the 1970s from director Don Sharp.
