NOTES A beautiful woman, Tracy, hires a boat to go to Albania to free her brother. (Note: some descriptions of this film say it is her father but it's definitely her brother).

Before they sail we get a scenic tour of the Acropolis for no

apparent reason. And this is supposed to be a serious,

dangerous mission but Carroll still gets the chance to have a

swim.

Sean Connery is the drunk deckhand who molests Tracy.

Landed in Albania it takes no time at all to find Tracy's brother.

But he's blind and appropriately he's found playing the

church organ. The actor does a passable simulation of

staring constantly into space and naturally his powers of

enhanced hearing are displayed. Apparently he had tried to

commit suicide which left him sightless though we are not told what method he used. He uses a walking stick for guidance.

They get into various scrapes as they walk back to their boat

including a completely absurd bandit chief played by Herbert

Lom.

The storytelling, acting and direction are slipshod and the film

struggles to fill 90 minutes.
