Apparently
there is a series of films starring Zatoichi, the blind swordsman.
In this film he meets Jumonji who is a samurai and a good
chess player. They travel together and take a ship bound for
Enoshima. In a dice game on board they take all the money
from some gangsters. Ashore they are ambushed by the
gangsters and in the fight (all swordplay) a young girl is injured. The
noble Zatoichi wins enough money to pay for her treatment. |
