A big
disappointment this despite the presence of Sorvino. |

She plays an
entomologist who creates a sterile cockroach |
|
which will
hopefully reduced their infestation of New York |
|
which is
causing the deaths of children. The sterile |
|
cockroach
which has a life of only 6 months appears to do the trick. |
|
But three
years later there are strange happenings in the |
|
subway.
Sorvino's cockroaches have mutated into giant |
|
creatures.
The rest of the film is about killing them and finding |
|
their nest.
The people who matter, that is those who we |
|
worry about
might be killed, include a shoeshine man and his |
|
autistic
son. Except we've lost interest as the monster |
|
cockroaches
are chased around the subway. |
|
The autistic
boy has a sort of sixth sense about the |
|
cockroaches
and doesn't appear to be threatened by them. |
