Mummy (1932) with Boris Karloff and more recently |

the Lost Ark this film starts among Egyptian tombs. |

The story is
lightly borrowed from the 1932 film and the |

ambience
from Spielberg's epic. But isn't anything like either. |
|
If it were
played for laughs Fraser might just fit the bill. If you |
|
want to see
successful parody turn to the Indiana Jones films. |
|
And Rachel
Weisz isn't attractive enough in any respect. |
|
One of the
baddies has a disfigured face. Another baddie has a prosthetic
arm, not a hand on the end but a knife. |

The Mummy
Returns (2001) The original was derivative and |
|
boring and
apparently this follow-up is derivative of itself and I |
|
couldn't be
bothered watching it. There is also The Mummy 3 |
