For me
silent film doesn't work when there is such 'a lot of |

story' to
tell. This film is crying out for dialogue. Generally |
|
well filmed
but many scenes are over long. The battle |
|
scenes begin
unrealistically but do improve. |
|
Near the end
there is a brief scene of a below the knee |
|
amputee
(left) who returns home and is accepted by his |
|
