Amnesia

 

Most of the films in this category are minor.  The introduction of a character with amnesia is often tied in with some dire event in their past which is gradually revealed.  This is usually murder in some shape.  Another way in which amnesia is used as a plot device is to rekindle the lost romance between a husband and wife.
