NOTES B/W

An American wakes up in a London hospital not knowing who

he is. The first 5 minutes of the film are spent in a

psychiatrist's office establishing that he has been in a car

crash in which he has lost his memory. However long he has

been in hospital he has become involved with a nurse.

He hires a private investigator to find out who has been paying for his medical treatment and who is the woman in the photo he was carrying. One presumes that he has been in a private hospital if he had to pay and nothing is said about who pays for the p.i. It also turns out he has the keys to an expensive appartment. He learns the woman in the photo was stabbed to death, and then he sees her. But he's also having hallucinations. At this point the plot gets more complex and

more improbable and for the umpteenth time amnesia is a

plot device to (hopefully) create tension and mystery. In this

case the acting, script and direction are very weak.
